Monolith AI is on a mission to empower engineers with AI that solves the toughest scientific and engineering challenges — from next-generation battery design to transformational industrial workflows. We’re a small, high-impact team that values curiosity, creativity and collaboration as we build world-class AI-enabled platforms.

Following Monolith’s acquisition by CoreWeave, we are entering a rapid scale phase and doubling our technical headcount over the next 12 months. We are looking for a highly technical recruiter to own the majority of our IC4+ engineering hiring, acting as a true extension of engineering leadership.

This role is not coordination-heavy or junior-screen focused. You will operate as a technical filter and hiring partner, independently assessing senior candidates and significantly reducing the time engineering leaders spend interviewing unqualified profiles.

The ideal person is commercially sharp, technically fluent, and confident making hiring recommendations that senior engineers trust.

What you’ll do

• Own and execute end-to-end hiring for senior individual contributors (IC4+) across multiple technical disciplines

• Independently assess candidates before they reach engineering interviews, maintaining a high technical bar

• Run technical screens, take-home reviews, and structured behavioural interviews, synthesising signal into clear hiring recommendations

• Partner closely with engineering leaders, challenging unrealistic requirements and advising on market realities

• Manage 10+ concurrent requisitions without sacrificing quality or candidate experience

• Proactively source for hard-to-fill, niche technical roles where passive candidates dominate

• Represent and credibly sell Monolith’s vision within CoreWeave, especially to senior candidates who may be sceptical post-acquisition

• Continuously optimise hiring processes for speed, signal quality, and scalability during organisational transition

Must-haves

Technical fluency

• Comfortable reading and discussing Python code

• Strong understanding of modern ML/AI infrastructure stacks (AWS, Kubernetes, MLOps)

• Able to hold credible technical conversations with senior engineers

• Can reliably distinguish genuine expertise from buzzwords, particularly in emerging areas such as agentic AI

Senior technical hiring track record

• Proven success hiring IC4+ engineers across multiple disciplines

• Experience recruiting for specialised roles such as ML Engineers, MLOps, DataOps, and platform-focused engineers

High-volume, high-bar execution

• Demonstrated ability to manage 10+ open roles simultaneously while maintaining a strong quality bar

Assessment & decision-making

• Designs and runs effective technical screens, take-home assessments, and behavioural interviews

• Produces hiring recommendations that engineering leaders trust and act on

Proactive sourcing expertise

• Advanced Boolean search and LinkedIn Recruiter skills

• Track record of sourcing passive candidates in competitive technical markets

Important capabilities

• Engineering partnership: Confident pushing back on unrealistic role requirements and advising with market data

• Process optimisation: Improves interview loops to reduce time-to-hire without lowering quality

• Post-acquisition positioning: Able to articulate Monolith’s roadmap and role within CoreWeave to senior, discerning candidates

• Independent operator: Thrives with minimal support and ambiguity during periods of organisational change

Nice-to-haves

• Experience hiring in a startup environment during or after an acquisition

• Background recruiting within ML / AI-first companies

• UK and/or European market knowledge (where applicable)
